SBGE & EAB

2020-21 EAB Initiatives

Initiatives Overview

The 2020-21 EAB Initiatives were developed based on their potential to benefit the positive trajectory of SBGE, along with its students and graduates, in clear alignment with the mission of our Executive Advisory Board and further aligned with the strategic vision for SBGE and for Seattle Pacific University as a whole.

INITIATIVE #1

Principles of Responsible Management Education (PRME) is a global initiative supported by the United Nations for the purpose of raising the profile of sustainability issues while equipping today’s business students with the understanding and ability required to deliver change in a manner that balances economic and social goals with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). This is an extension of EAB work begun in 2019.

SPU’s SBGE is one of only 5 universities nationwide - and the only one of the West Coast - selected to participate at the highest designation of PRME Champion. The responsibility of each PRME Champion during the 2020-21 cycle is to take transformative action to integrate SDGs in the three key areas of curriculum, research, and partnerships.

INITIATIVE #2

The Center for Faithful Business, formerly the Center for Integrity in Business, invites everyone to join in seeking out the theological lessons for business practices and explores what it looks like to work as God’s servants in the world of business.

Faith&Co is a series of films developed to articulate these conversations to a larger audience.

Initiative 3

In support of SBGE, we have an obligation to be an advocate for SBGE within the community around us in ways that make a significant contribution to the advancement of SBGE’s faculty and students. This initiative is an ongoing work in collaboration with SBGE since 2019.
